Assessing the incentive’s ROI
To animate a team, the manager has to measure the results of incentive programmes.
Today, managers find it difficult to calculate overall performance rapidly in order to relay it to their superiors and/or sponsors.
If you can’t measure it, you can’t manage it. Kaplan & Norton
to which this quote could be added,
If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it. William Edwards Deming
If they have no vision of the performance of incentive programmes, managers cannot analyse and communicate correctly to their superiors the reasons for the success or failure of challenges that have been organised.
Indeed, companies do not benefit from one of the main advantages of incentive programmes, which is to ascertain how the effort has a positive or negative effect on performance. They are therefore deprived of valuable information when developing future strategies.
